Preceptorship Description
This preceptorship program provides a comprehensive clinical experience across both primary and urgent care settings. With 10-hour shifts in primary care and 12-hour shifts in urgent care, NP students will engage with a diverse patient population, including adolescents and older adults in primary care, and patients aged 3 and up in urgent care.
It also includes a focus on women’s health, offering hands-on experience with Pap smears, birth control management, and other reproductive health services. Participants will benefit from personalized mentorship and supervision, enhancing their skills in patient assessment, chronic disease management, and acute care. This dual exposure prepares individuals for a versatile healthcare career, equipping them with the adaptability and broad skill set needed to excel in various clinical environments.
